Description

Just another repost....The last version of this picture always bothered me so I cropped it differently and decided to repost it. I still think it needs work so if you get a chance I would love some input on what you think could make it better. I think it's a little boring at the moment and perhaps a bit too green so I might repost this again with some new foliage with brighter colors. The main tree trunks in the foreground were made with silo and then I added bryce trees with invisible trunks for the foliage. The grass was made in x-frog 3.5 Thanks for looking.

I like it the way you have now cropped it, but I don't see anything that really needs more work. I'd say leave it alone for six months then come back and look at it. You may be surprised at how good it looks. Perhaps if you added some animals or characters, it might appear less boring; however, I think they would be a distraction and actually take away from the picture.

The vegetation looks awesome. Personally I would close the gap in the background on the left side with more trees but that's probably just a matter of taste.

Great Job! Feels like something from Where the Wild things Are. Really gets my imagination going. Love it just the way it is - excellent work!!

Your detail and composition skills are to be coveted. I believe the reason you feel this is boring is because there is no clear subject. The 4 main trees via for attention. I like the opening in the forest and would not change that. If you wanted to try, add a SMALL deer, stickman, gopher, cabin...whatever near the front right side. Remember the rule of 3rds. You could also try adding trees closer to the camera on the right side. That would draw the eye to the opening in the forest. At the moment the eye does not go there. Hope you don't consider this a critisizm of any kind. It's not. The image is wonderful as is.
