Description

Came across this blooming plant during my journey through Joshua Tree N.P. I think it's a member of the Yucca-family, but like to know what it is exactly. Anybody who knows (zoom in for details)?? Your help is very much appreciated!! It was the only blooming plant of this kind I saw that day, so I assume that it was one of the last (or first?) to bloom during their season (August 1st). It is called a Joshua Tree,(Yucca Brevifolia). You will see them in the southwest. I have not seen one blooming. I hope to return to Arizona again in January. Thank you for refreshing my memories.... Karen :)

Wonderfully captured.I like your presentation.I've never seen a Joshua tree,so I can't help with that,but it sounds like Southernamazon is certain that's what this is.
