I'm a New Yorker living in a 100 year old house with a 100 year old wardrobe that doesn't go to Narnia (I've tried!)
I dwell on......
Black holes, Time machines, Dreams and Bubblegum.
Enigmatic prose, EBE's and their interest in strawberry ice cream, Chaos,
The Quantum Theory and Chess.
The interworkings of clocks, how to stop them from working;
taking them apart and changing their functions;
The study of Lemmings and the tilt of the Earth, and wonder if there is a connection between the two.

"My hour of need" illustrates so well my belief that we indulge in self-comtemplation too much ... I find it much more therapeutic to look outside and simply take in the world without evaluations or judgements. However, as you so very skilfully point out in your poem, introspection is both seductive and obsessive. It grips and holds so tightly. The second poem is a beautifully wrought description of empathy in action. Both were very good reads. Mike
