Description

About a year ago, Draculaz and I had a mini challenge to design fighters. A year later, I've updated the original fighter, so I present the DF-1000. This fighter is designed to work in an atmosphere using jet engines and also in space when the engines shift over to rocket fuel and it also has a hyperdrive engine (the blue glow is the HD coils cooling down). I'm not entirely happy with this, but Carrara was in a bad mood last night and I gave up trying to get it just right. Some postwork in Photoshop. Thanks for looking. p.s. The original is here

Great composition. Love the design, almost "bomber" sized rather than fighter, no? Looks great!

:-) I love the fog in the background and modeling on the ship, but the light of the hyperdrive coil seems a bit out of place or fake compared to the rest of the image. A soft, subtle blur around them may have been a way to go, though I'm not sure how to explain it much better than that.
