N M O - 2 0 0 0 (Outline)
No 2000 is a modern novel loosely based on Jules Verne's 20,000 Leagues under the Sea, Which takes the Character of Captain No and re-invents him, as Captain Did No, and resurrects him into the present.
The whole concept is updated and rationalised for the twenty first Century and the Dawning of the Age of Aquarius, with a slightly more erotic, sexual overlay.

Did Who later adopts the Name 'No' (from the Latin meaning no-one or no-body) is a Marine Biologist/Environmentalist turned free diver and P.A.D.I. Diving Instructor, who whilst working on Eivissa falls fowl of a local gangster who ruins his life and bankrupts him.
In final desperation Did resolves to make the deepest free dive he has ever made to 320' of a Large mysterious rock/island, he has recently, discovered from some old religious documents and maps, just off the far coast of Formentera, knowing full well, that a dive this deep, at night, unassisted, without air, would not give him very much chance of returning to the surface, unless fate truly had another future planned out for him, at least like this, one way or another, he would know for sure.
Upon reaching the bottom, Did discovers a tiny and ancient underwater entrance, with his last breath of air he swims down it, however to his amazement, he finally surfaces in an underwater cave and dry dock which contains the decaying remains of No's Legendary Submarine, Nautilus.
While investigating the remains of the Nautilus, Did comes across No's body in his strange steam punk, laboratory and there accidentally triggers a final secret experiment that No was conducting when he died. Suddenly a strange thick gas fills the room and electrical charges pulse through his body, Did Collapses.
When Did awakes he discovers, what No's true and ultimate legacy really was. The one off genetic conversion of a man into Homo Aquaticus, (Water Breathing man), a true successor and torch bearer for the No mantle, standard and name.
Did finds that he now has gill slots on either side of his back and that he breath underwater as well as on land, he also discovers that his eyesight has been altered to the same dioptre as that of water, (+200) and he now has perfect 20, 20 vision underwater without the aid of a mask, although he now requires Contact Lenses to see perfectly on land.
Did now with the legacy of wealth and scientific knowledge, No has left behind, secretly heads to the backwaters of Eastern Europe.
There taking advantage of the old Nautilus's still functioning components and a new bio-ceramic skin he discovers No was also working on, constructs a new more compact Nautilus 2000, which also incorporates many new design elements of the U91035-PROTEUS from the movie (Fantastic Voyage), eventually culminating in a perfect compromise between Modern High-Tech and functional /aesthetic Steam Punk.
Did Sails back into the Mediterranean with many new philosophies and horizons. Modelling his new concepts and ideals on: the USA's First Earth Battalion, training Manuals: http://ejmas.com/jnc/jncart_channon_0200.htm. He now works independently, lending his and his submarines abilities and capabilities in support to humanitarian and environmental issues, whilst still remaining impartial, and doing so in his own way under his own terms and conditions.
Molly is a 24 year old hippy naturist and Marine Ecologist, who works as a volunteer researcher for Greenpeace. She meets Did, when he saves her life in a diving accident off Eivissa and Formentera, this allows her see that Did can in fact breath under water, and she also catches a fleeting glimpse off Nautilus leaving.
That evening Molly, still confused but very intrigued and excited, by what she has just witnessed, attends a big Villa party, just outside Portinax, in the hope of trying to gain information and evidence on a local gangster, who she believes is the one polluting the waters surrounding Eivissa and Formentera.
There to her amazement she meets Did again, who of course, is there for the same reason. He initially tries to avoid her, to try and protect some degree of his much beloved Anonymity.
However after they are both forced to beat a very hasty retreat from the villa, Did takes Molly back to Nautilus and there much to Mollys amazement and delight, explains who and what he and Nautilus really are.
Now together aboard Nautilus, they manage to shut down and defeat the Local gangster, who in an ironic twist of fate and almost divine justice, is the same man who previously destroyed Did's life, in truth by doing so, creating his own nemesis and downfall.
However, during this time, even whilst constantly arguing and initially disagreeing, and even though both of them does everything not to, they fall helplessly in love with each other.
On the day Molly is due to leave, for her next assignment, Nautilus is moored off Sa-Calate beach for the full moon festival, before leaving for the world free diving championships on Kythera. To Dids surprise Molly turns up and finally confesses her love for him his lifestyle and all he stands for. Did confesses that he feels just the same way to, and that night, abandoning all cation and doubts, aboard Nautilus under the full moon in Sa-Calate bay, they become lovers.
Did agrees to stay another week, so that they can get to know each other better on the impartial ground of Eivissa. During this wonderful time Molly realises that this really is as good as it can ever get, and in a quirk of fate proposes to Did.
Did, as always trusting to fate, very happily agrees and they are married in a small quite ceremony in the sleepy little Spanish Church of Puig-Noir in the town of Santa Eulalia Del Rio.
After this they both literally sale off into to the Sunset bound for the world free diving championships, and who knows what other adventures and romance.
