It seems my deadline isn't as tight as I thought... JAY!!! Gonna browse the gallery now...
I saw Pingy (our one cat) outside this morning, very occupied with something. When I came closer I saw it was because of this bug. Again, I'm not sure what species - please let me know if you do!

Nice macro capture of the very colorful beetle bug, Este! You actually laid on the cold wet cement to record this momentous event! Now that's what I call pure and determined dedication!!! BTW, the insect looks like the little mechanical metal windup toys I used to play with as a mere tot.
