S.S. NonCannon..;) s'ok..over 'n under nacelles are considered 'non-cannon', but I'm just as guilty myself..;)Great design. Check out Ex Astris Scientia, the Advanced Starship Design Bureau, etc., for the skinny.. Great design, good detail, sharp lines..hope I can get mine to turn out this way someday...keep up the good work.

It's a great site... but are over-and-under nacelles really non-canon? They come in pairs, and they're supposed to have at least a 50% line of sight between each other, but I didn't see anything about them having to be on a horizontal plane. Besides, plenty of "canon" ships violate one or more of Roddenberry's rules on starship design, such as the Nebula class, the Intrepid class, and the Defiant class (see http://www.trekplace.com/article15.html), so whether or not they're strict rules is debateable. In my case, I knew about the rules, but consciously chose to bend 'em a little to get a ship that looked good to me. Thanks for your comments! They are welcome and appreciated. Guy

Great looking ship ^^

Whatever she is officially named, she is going to be called the Pig. Looks unwieldy, and not very shaply, but she will open the galaxy for humanity. Despite my nickname, she's a beautiful ship. Oh, and as for the dorsal and ventral nacells, this is obviously the predecessor to Picard's ship, The Stargazer.

Very powerful design. 5+.

Capt. J.C. Williams takes the con for the maiden voyage of the U.S.S. Shatner. On the Bridge, a busy crew makes preparations for the jump to Warp. "Engineer, your status?" asks Williams. "I have a slight inbalance in the flow matrix, but I don't think its anything to worry about." Williams places his hand on his chin, thinking and evaluating the situation. "Very well, thank you Engineer." he replies. "Navigator, plot a course out of Star System. Helmsman, standby on Warp drive.""All systems show ready for Warp speed." states the Helmsman. Williams turn his chair to look around the Bridge, this was it, the moment he had waited for all his life, his first Command. Since he has been a boy playing with ship models, he has dreamed of the time when he commanded his first ship. "Engage Warp Drive!" Williams shouts. A deep, low rumble comes from the deepest bowels of the ship, then a slight shutter. Then, just as the ship is about to accelerate.... BOOOOOOMMM!!!!!!! And so ends the Voyages of the U.S.S. Shatner.
