Dear Dawn, This one is much better - none of my phobias kicked in!! I think we all can enjoy and appreciate the serenity of the old general stores. And yet - we all trudge off to Wal-Mart to do a lot of out shopping. The only real one I've ever seen, (and not a tourist trap,) is off in the boonies on a narrow road north east of Columbus, Texas. I stopped in there once with THE Boss. The food was the same as I see at Kroger, but Kroger doesn't also sell tractor parts and horse linement. And feel was the same as what you have so eloquently portrayed above. I find it strange to miss a time that was gone long before I was born - and yet I do!!! Really nice job and a very thoguht provoking one, too!!! Love, Meredith
