Description

A theorbo is a lute on steroids. I made a lute a while back and with a few modifications, morphed it into a theorbo. I love Renaissance Age musical instruments. Besides the music they make, they are incredible works of art. Studied a bunch of photographs, then put in the features I liked from each. Used Tony Lynch's wood mat throughout.

Great work. Were the "flying" bank of strings used as a drone chord? No matter. Love the design!

The flying bank of strings is bass notes retuned for each song. (I coudl be wrong but to my memory that is what they are used for) Really great piece. Try wood workshop sometime it can yeild soem good wood results too.
