Final upload of my favorite companion. Blackie.I have shared several photos of him in the past. He loved to go here I went. He would lay in my lap in the wheelchair and take rides outdoors, around the yards and up and down the street. He always curled up in my arms and slept with me.
I have to admit that he died from cancer resulting from my second hand smoke although the veternarian didn't specifically say so.
He was on daily medications for over 10 years. A real champ about taling his eye meds, but he hated the chemo drugs.
We dont often find such a wonderful companion - he will he missed greatly for my remaining time.
Hopefully I wont be posting lost companions for a good mny years to come; but I do intend to share photo antics of my 5 new cats and a puppy. :-)
As am now completely housebound I enjoy my comanions far more than the average old fat curmudgeon. :-)).

Sounds to me like Blackie was a wonderful companion. I'm sorry to hear that he died, and I know he will be missed. I hope you do post new cat and puppy pics. Take care!

They leave such a void in our lives and in our hearts when their road here comes to an end. He was a very handsome gentleman, Blackie was. God Speed, Blackie.

Dwayne , My heart goes out to you. I've had my two kitty-babies for over 10 years and the thought of losing them simply rends me. I can only image how hard it is for you after 16 years. hugs Kiera

sorry for the lost of your companion... 16 years is a long time...but glad to hear you have more around you.. we had our myna over 22 years, he passed away last year and never will be forgotten, two hwakheaded parrots we have now, kiddies and hopefully long to be with us

Yep, definitely a great cat. You were always talking about him and his valiant fight to live. Be easy on yourself, my friend. Blackie wouldn't want you feeling guilty.

WOW I LOVE CATS...AND THIS ONE LOOK SAME AS MINE...BUT MINE HAVE 1 YEAR OLD :)
