Description

Was somewhat bummed that I didn't manage to get a better angle of Christopher in this shot, but I love this shot. This was a really cool thing at the Exploratorium in San Francisco last weekend....no, 2 weekends ago now. It's a really fun hands on science museum and this was obviously the station to build an arch at. You laid the numbered pieces on the board you can see at the table and then flipped the base over to give it it's support. Once all the pieces were in place you stand the whole thing up by lifting the board and then once it's standing up you lay the board down and have your very own arch. Though I'm not sure if Christopher had more fun setting it up or knocking it down. LOL Made no progress on e-bots tonight as my wife decided to appropriate the computer. Maybe tomorrow. John

Dear John, That does look like fun - I want to try it!!! Two of the guys I Knew back in undergrad had built something similar, but much bigger and much thicker. It arched over the door from the living room of their apartment back to the bedrooms!! It was a really cool looking arch and like a true ach, nothing held it together but gravity. And as far as I know, it was never knocked down!! Which is kind of amazing considering the whole things was built of Coors Light cans!!! GUYS!!!!! Actually, I helped them with some oftheir raw materials a few times!!!!! Excellent work and I'm sure Christopher (and Daddy) had a blast!!! Love, Meredith
