This is my contribution to Jangled's idea (see this post : http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=1327270 _ Later today this scifi kit will be uploaded to my site as a freebie. All models were created in Wings3D.

These stand alone just great!! I particularly like the first eight...but how can I build a dock port for'em??:)

You should be able to pick a series of faces and extrude and or bridge to another (like for putting two stations together) The ships can be scaled to fit on the docking/landing pads of the stations. Faces in front of the pads can be extruded inward to give more of a "corridoor" into the station. I'm a bit behind in uploading the freebie ... will work to get it up on the site within the next day. :)
