Description

I just started preparing a new project, imported a figure from another project, fiddled about with a few things and then did a test render on the face camera to check the face and hair. I hadn't realised that a whole new set of lights had also been imported so that the render turned out way too bright - only I quite liked the effect! So I thought I would share this happy accident with you, before deleting the extra lights and getting something closer to what I had originally had in mind! Enjoy! Thanks for any feedback you are kind enough to leave. I know this isn't a complicated picture, but sometimes simple is best! Phil

I have had another look at the lights used and it is basically, in addition to the default lighting (which is mostly bleached out anyway) 4 white, infinite lights all at the centre position on the lighting sphere (rotation 0 on all three axes). I have just done a test and you can also have just one centre light and then turn up the intensity to 400%, the effect is the same! Just in case you would like to try the effect for yourself. Set the background colour to white and away you go!

Very unique! Might be fun to take it into Photoshop and airbrush out even more of it with white--make it really minimalist. What a neat accident.

LOL! She's really going to wish she'd blinked before the flash went off. Sometimes the most interesting things come from accidents.

Very good! But this kind of "mistakes" only happen when you study and work hard, so you deserve anyway the best compliments!
