Gualala is a small northern California coastal town north of San Francisco on coastal highway 1.. this image taken looking south..former Redwood logging area..now largely dependent on the tourist trade... scanned image..

Very beautiful vista but it seems to a treacherous peace of coastline. Deep colours of the sea and surf.

Love how it fades into mist. Great colors too! The image could profit from some Noise reduction, though. But it is a wonderful shot as it is!

It is also at Gualala that the river (I believe the Russian River) dumps into the sea. It is one of those places that has a very unique population of water creatures because of the mix of fresh water and salt water. Very nice view and great color-richness. Good shot.
