Description

Forward: ---------- Whilst sleeping in July 1987 one of the worlds leading speculative scientists discovered the possibility of the existance of Inchlings. Pursuing this matter in laboratory conditions over subsequent years lead to a small group of Swedish researchers isolating and then refining personal samples sent to them from the original scientist. Despite stringent and astringent methods used however no further evidence to the existance or non-existance of the Inchlings were discovered. Once this news was released to the wider speculative scientific community all such research worldwide quickly collapsed . However, despite such public setbacks it is rumoured that clandestine corporate interests are still conducting their own well-funded research programs into the discovery and subsequent surreptitious use of the Inchlings for their own corporate means. In 2004-05 a wordlwide rash of computer hardware failures due to 'bulging capacitors' made it into the public awareness. After some time it was then revealed that this phenomenon had to been due to the theft of an aqueous electrolyte formula which was not copied correctly by the corporate thief and with which was then put unawares into production by various hardware manufacturers. Of course this immediately raised the ire of many consumers but also lead one of the original Swedish researchers (who had long since disbanded and formed their own aerophone groups and solo careers) into announcing that perhaps the rather flamboyant and incredible explanation given by investigators was in fact a cover story to conceal the real truth that just perhaps this was evidence of the still unseen and undiscovered existance of the Inchlings. Despite worldwide condemnation and ridicule of the Swedish statement, and despite vigorous denials and barly concealed open hostility to those who held the belief, there is still an undercurrent of opinion amongst a very few that it is only a matter of time before a true public discovery of the Inchlings is made. It is within this air of hopeful speculative scientific endeavour that this image is dedicated to those who are unwilling to bow down to the demands and expectations of their peers, and to those who despite their adherence and dedication to all things imaginative are still carrying on the finer traditions of their craft and expertise under the most trying, unappreciative, and unimaginative leaders that govern and direct events in this day and age. I humbly salute you. Creative and original use of Poser. Who would have thought ancient Walter would show up again. :) Great work!

LOL Ann! ;-) I actually found ol' Walter whilst looking back on some old CD's of mine for something else and there the character was just peeking out in a DAZ product promo containing multiple figures. I instantly wondered who the character was and so extracted him out of the big DAZ installation runtime then installed him just to play. The funny thing was that I did this image very quickly in Poser but wanted to light it differently so into Vue it went, then after it was about the same as the Poser version I played with the scene trying to make it more spiffy but discovered I simply just liked the very plain black & white-like look instead. :-P The backstory of the Discovery of the Silver Inchlings was something I came up with whilst I was offline and it just popped into my head......like so any things. :-)
