Description

Few things in life are free except for the help of true friends. This one is for Alan, thanks for the help; I owe you a debt of gratitude. Few things in life are free and when cash is not readily available you can always charge it. If you're lucky enough you have someone in your life that you can lean on financially until you can get back on your feet. The least that's required is gratitude and repayment of said debt but that would require honor and integrity of which is in short supply these days. Sure, one can always discharge debt but it's at the risk of ruining your credit and incurring bad karma. So think twice before you whip out those credit cards this holiday season! ;)

Good thoughts indeed. So many people end up destroying themselves financially by financing debt on a credit card...or six...and it takes very little time to be in over your head. And the credit card issuers make it so easy to do this. The only time I borrow money from banks is for a mortgage or the leasing of a car. Otherwise, I pay cash for everything I buy. My philosophy is, if I have to finance it, I can't afford it, and I refuse to spend even more money by paying interest on my own debt with the exception of a mortgage. I have only one credit card, an American Express, and it's a direct debit from my account I have through my stock broker. I refuse to fall victim to wreckless spending at the invitation of a credit card company.

sigh Boy does this portrait bring it home with absolute clarity - even though you made it for a different reason, it means something else to everyone else! So true TerraDreamer! So true...

i was worried from the thumb that you could read the numbers.... good thinking. Maybe if the focus was on the first card the subject would be more easily portrayed - well how i see it is an endless stream of debt, with the first card being the only one in focus that would give the photo a lot more meaning. Nice concept and well presented :)

Great thoughts and creative idea here. I think landing the focus on the first card would have been good as well, but still a pleasure to view.

Neat concept for a photo and I like the way you think, it seems few feel that way toward debt any more. At the risk of showing my photographic ignorance I like the focus like it is. I think that had you placed focus squarely on the first card the eye wouldn't have been so easily lead down the path of the other cards. Very well done IMHO!

Well, I guess having a knife fighting truck driving friend to call on can be a good thing. Perhaps. Excellent photo.
