Congratulations. Looks like you were working with the Bob Ross wet on wet technique. This was my start into art also, did it for years until someone got me working with computers. I just wish I had more time to devote to it. An excellent start!

heya mq!!!! yea my man I have always WANTED to try oil painting and finally did it!!!...nod nod nod, I used to watch Bob Ross with my mom every weekend when I was a kid. I always thought to myself..."darn that looks alot easier than DRAWing every derned leaf!"...and well...IT IS!! EXEPT that oils are REALLY tricky when it comes to getting one color onto another...sometimes you WANT to blend them and they dont...other times you DONT want whats on your brush to blend with what is already on the canvas and of course it DOES...grumble grumble...very frustrating sometimes!!!! So anyways i shall practice practice practice my little landscapes as I discover the secrets of blending oils on my little palatte and getting them to do exactly what I want...and hopefully one day thar will be dragons and maidens ands all kinds of devious little things that have been bouncing around in my dark little mind for so many years...

That's a beautiful landscape. Well painted, the water looks cold and calm, great surface on it; the textures on mountains are fine, and the trees have a real tree look and form. Well done!
