There is a mystery called Womanhood....
Okay, so much for being poetic. I wrote the first line and got stuck.
Anyway, I was going for a more sultry approach here, like a teenage version of a Robert McGinnis femme fatale.
Joleen's mother looked at the print I gave her, said it was lovely, and told Joleen her boyfriend was never going to see it.
In July '05 I uploaded "Joleen ... Nude (Not Really)", a purposefully misleading title for an image that showed her bareshouldered but dressed and perusing John Hedgecoe's "Figure and Form: Photographing the Nude."
It had 677 hits in 4 days. As of this writng it's had 1771 hits and is apparently my most-viewed image.
Well.... a year and a season later and this is still as nude as Joleen will be appearing here.
There is a mystery called Womanhood..... and I'm not giving away the plot.

I might be corrected, but I think she's only 17 right now. So no wonder this is as nude as she's going to be. But back on topic, she seems to be a natural in expressing art in this fashion. And as to her boyfriend, we'll end the discussion here, he he.

Joleen turned 19 in April. I'v perpetually remarked that it's too bad Joleen is not in LA, where she could have a career playing teenagers for the next decade. Oh, and her mother laughed when she said that.

I do think Joleen looks younger than her years, and had guessed her to be about 15 in the first shots of this series - but to me her cheekbones are more obvious in this strong sidelight and do betray her age as being at least 18. I think you're right that she could still spend the next decade passing herself off as a teenager though! Exceptionally beautiful with a fresh, effortless sexuality - it's no matter that this is as much as will be revealed, nothing more NEEDS to be revealed. Perfect shot :-)

I really admire and respect your decision to refrain from posting nude photos of this young lady. I think sometimes we loose track of art when nudity is involved, and the people viewing nude photos many times do not understand why the art is important. Art is something that you have captured very well here. Well done sir. My compliments.

Dear David and Joleen, The sun is still shining - the Earth is still spinning - and Meredith is still behind!! (Some things are just eternal!!!!) Hmmmm - David, I think this is a good point for you to stop reading and leave!! Is he gone???? Good!!!! First you hit them with the femme fatale - then the poor pitiful puppydog pout (sniff - sniff) And then you talk about the new car!!!!! Or whatever!!! WORKS EVERY TIME!! Those of the male persuasion can't resist!! This is a technique that needs to be perfected on fathers, grandfathers, doting uncles, etc. The use if on boyfriends, husbands, and bosses!!!
