Description

DUSK Something different. The warm glow of the late afternoon sun going down over Lancashire in the UK. Out of interest the tower was built during the Napoleonic wars and a huge fire would have been lit so the next tower would know of danger. This would have continued across the country warning of danger and invasion. Eddie

Interesting - i always thought these beacons were built during the times of spanish armada... well the concept is ancient - even Gondor had them in LOTR ;) Fantastic silhouette and a very deep red sunset i wouldnt associate with lancashire =D. Good job!

The photo is very good and the story of the structure is marvelous. The overall feel is one of relaxation... but relaxation that could be broken at any moment. Wonderful shot.
