Description

Oh my! Giraffes on the Hudson?! I just couldn't get over how much these cranes looked like giraffes! A trip on the Hudson River showing David the sights and sounds of NYC..unfortunately we missed the last boat to Ms. Liberty, but not the last one on the Hudson. A lesson to be learned...get the grilled cheese sandwich "after" you get the tickets, not before! LOL!

Heavens to Betsy! The Hudson River! The last time I remember being on the Hudson River I was on a private boat of some friends of the family. It was a little choppy and I excused myself to lay down below for a few minutes. Within 5 minutes of stretching out on my bunk, a terrible storm crashed in around us! The waves nearly turned us upside down, the wind battered us dangerously near shore, the rain began to fill every nook and cranny on deck. Our captain was taken by surprise. All his reports had stated we would have at least an hour more to the dock before the storm hit. I was as sick as a puppy that ate too much cottoncandy at the fair! Somehow, this sort of helps to make up for that. I wish I could have a last memory of the Hudson on a day like this. :-) Nice photo.

Wonderful shot, I love it. The atmospherics, the glistening water and those giraffes provide a incredible mood to it. Great work!!

Far out Michelle! They probably were giraffes before they drank out of the Hudson! ;)

Yea, it was too bad Lady Liberty was closed when we got there. I wanted to see inside her, see what makes her tick. But this was still great, got a very close look at her and the Hudson and the Bridges, forts and all. I can't complain about our ferry seats, since we were first on the boat for our tour. I also thought these looked like Giraffes from a distance. Thanks for a great time Michelle. Got several Grand tours of the best sites. I especially loved that last tour with those wonderful hills, neat curves, and under brush that a person like me really enjoys exploring. Very fond memories indeed! Thanks for making my trip to NYC so special young lady! Hugs from Dave :^)
