Superb. I love the textures or levels of dotting. To m, it looks like rusting and weathering on an old sundial or some gear.

Don't people ever read the titles? I can't call this image beautiful because the title gives me the creeps! It's an interesting design, a great execution (even this sounds creepy now) and a masterful treatment of a complex image. The somber colour range certainly fits your idea.

Slices of life .. leaving vacuum filled holes behind .. Yet, I like the colors .. soft .. oozing into my mind .. lulling, numbing me into a sense of security ... Fantastic work!!!
