Description

First in a series of several featuring Marvel's Illyana Rasputin, AKA Magik. Pity she's dead now, she was awesome. The helm was modelled for me to use by the great Swidhelm. I did the paldrons myself that didn't suck too bad, but the soulsword .. oh my god, I messed it up. AND I was only altering someone else's sword at the hilt (IE I didn't model the blade or handle, just the crappy looking crap) I am *NOT* a modeller. Also, any advice on getting the metallics right in bryce? I was going for more of a darker look here, but I'd like to acieve the bright shiny looking metal as featured in those comic book images in future images. Thanks in advance!

Great composition. Nice character. I like that glow on her eyes. For a very metallic feel in Bryce, set Specularity, Metallicity, Reflection and Refraction to 100. If you want the metal to have a bluish tone. Just choose light blue colour on the Diffuse. I hope this helps.
