I know, I know...its another rose...lol...but this one had a special quality for me, the petals looked really like deep red velvet. Thanks for all your feedback on my pics and I hope you had a good start into the week.

Well, surprise, surprise ... I never tire of good rose photos :-) This does have a lovely velvet quality to it. The red roses tend to do that in the right hands. Good job.

Fabulous macro capture of the lovely rose, Ulla! I thought at first it was a fractal because of the spiral efffect. In this case, the lighting is excellent, and leaves a lot to the imagination.

Wow that is a wicked red rose shot. We have just had a photo comp at my camera club where the theme was "red" and we had lots of rose shots but none as good as this. Its the curls that make it so great!! Nice one!! Cheers form Lou.

That sure looks like velvet to me as well. It also looks a bit out of focus, but im starting to think that it could be the quality of the rose fooling ones eyes. It doesnt really matter because the composition and tight crop is fantastic. Excellent job Ulla. Have a wonderful day. #:O)
