Description

I'm not a particularly religious person. In fact, I have fairly antagonistic feelings toward the institution. I do, however, find myself fond of the folks in my life who are believers. Their religious practice is significant to them, and while not perfect, you can tell that they make the effort to live in a way that is consistent with that practice. So, this picture was for those folks. It's an image which is sacred to them, and I tried my best to portray it respectfully. Rendered in Vue, and Photoshop.

Excellent render! I am, myself, Roman Catholic as is most of my family. This is a very tasteful and respectful rendition. I give you a ton of credit. Most of the people I know that do not agree with the Catholic faith do nothing more than poke fun at it. It is great to be open minded to what there is beyond ourselves, even if we do not understand it or do not agree with it. And as far as "not perfect", well really who is? Despite all the religious debate, none of us will truly know until we leave this plane of existance. Hopefully we all as human souls will find peace between all faiths and beliefs. Very powerful image and thoughts. 5 stars from me... ;) -chachi To ALL ( and I do mean ALL) people of any and all faiths....Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas...Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Bhuddist, Hindu....ALL..May we all find common and peaceful ground.

Kindreds: The lightning in Vue: You find a picture of lightning and put it on an alpha plane, then take that same image and make an alpha mask out of it in photoshop, the apply the mask to the alpha plane in Vue. You have to do some tweaking with the material editor in Vue, and you may also have to tinker with the size of the image in photoshop. If you use any kind of volumetric light, you know that the edges of the plane will be visible, so it has to be bigger than the camera frame. You need to put the reflectivity to 0, and set tweak the glow and luminosity controls until you get the look that you want. It's really early in the morning, so I don't know if these instructions are as clear as they could be (I'm not even through my first cup of coffee). If you need to me to be clearer, drop me a line through site mail. Have a great day, and Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Beautiful. I can't help but be moved by this image. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son that whoever shall believe on Him shall not perish but have eternal life" - John 3:16

And the Lamb shall die for all mankind... This is an excellent rendition of the most memorable moment in history. Maybe God moved you in such a way as to share this. "For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God" Romans 3:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23 God Bless... James-
