Description

I got a catalogue in the mail with swords, jewelry and stuff from movies like LOTR, Harry Potter, etc. Most of it is pretty expensive for knick-knacks. The wardrobe for Chronicles of Narnia impressed me. I thought it was a real wardrobe, but it's actually a 11" tall jewelry box. Never saw the movie, but read the books and wanted to build it. The "carved" panels are 13 terrains, drawn in the terrain editor. Modeled the cabinet in Hexagon. No amount of work on the lighting can show the detail. Used Tony Lynch wood mats. Shadows done in postwork.

Wow Dave, this is incredible detail. Am I to understand that the detail was carved using the same Bryce editor that's used to shape mountains? Great movie and super model here. You should export it and offer it for sale. Big time Bravo from Dave :^)

Very nice modeling. I can relate to the renders not showing it off. But from what i see, it looks wild man. Nice work!

We can see enough details to appreciate the work you put into it, Dave. By the way, how is it in Narnia this year? grin

I reckon this must be from the very first Narnia story, where they meet the strange magician and end up in a pond in a green forest...a magnificent effort, I can see you put a tremendous amount of work in the details. One of your best!
