Description

This was an experiment just to see if I could create the correct lens for a old auto headlight. Let me know what you think of my efforts. Modeled using Blender 3D software.

it works, but you have to visualize the car to go along with it very hard otherwise it being so out of place its hard to think of what it is, possibly you should model a car along with the headlight?

It's pretty good except for the black and grey concentric circles. They come from either shdows from the lens glass which really casts no shadows or inaccessibility to the intial raytrace strike. The reflector shape is very important. Not too deep mostly. Hemispheric is way too deep. Of course, newer headlights have the facets of the fresnel on the reflector not the lens and are odd shapes so we are creating technology for modelling something long ago abandonned. It's fun to be boutique.

Also, the mesh would be a tad smoother. Why not use higher subdivision level?
