Great postwork leaving the eye in colour!!! Really WORKS for the whole portrait!!! Wonderful, as always! We also don't celebrate thanksgiving here and I also think the closest thing would be an ostrich! lol Lovely meat, have you tasted ostrich? Somwthing between turkey and beef (I guess). HAVE A SPLENDID weekend, buddy! 8;o) PS: Thanks for the advise - it truly helped!

I've heard a lot about how good these birds taste but never have had a chance to try it. We have a few here and there on ranches nearby but I think they are more a curiosity and for pets. Lucky for them I suppose...:-)More popular are emus but again, they aren't ranched in large numbers so I'm not sure what they are raised for. Lovely shot here. These birds have a wonderful and alert look in their eyes...

Nice one. The selective coloring is perfectly applied. Had an Ostrich last year. Had leftovers into spring. That's no fun. ;) Cheers Buddy!

The big bird looks so regal staring out like that. Good definition on all its parts: eye, whiskers, bill, etc. I've mentioned before that the eye of an ostrich is larger than its brain. Have a nice weekend!

Thanks for the T-Day wishes,Andreas.Speaking of wishing...I wish we were having ostrich instead of turkey...mmmmmm...and to be quite frank I'm not a big fan of turkey, but shhhh...don't tell anyone. That would be un-american of me,lol.Anyway, this is a fab-u-lous(!) shot and I love the 'beautiful'(lol) brown eyes.I think I remember you saying brown eyes are considered exotic in Sweden...so I guess in Sweden I would be an exotic 'bird',too...well,maybe when I was younger...now I'm just an 'old bird',and past my sell-by date,lol...Anyway,I love what you did with this. It's excellent...Oooops,okay,I'd better run.Have a wonderful weekend,Swedie and I'll 'see ya' on the flip side.Chow!(sic)-M D;^)
