Description

I guess you already expected a shot from SeaWorld. I had a hard time in capturing these killerwhales. It's very difficult (at least for me) to keep up with the speed of these animals and to push the button at the right time. And the fact that they're under water most of the time isn't a great help as well. Anyway, I think (hope) above picture is acceptable, although far from perfect (I know, I know...). Nevertheless I hope you'll enjoy it. Thanks for all your nice comments on my last upload, "My American Dream #25". Paul

Fantastic capture, I watched a documentary on these animals some time ago about their habbits & hunting abilities, they certainly deserve the name Killer Whale Stuart

Nice one! - Yeah it's difficult alright. But you did a good job. What's helpful is to watch the show a 2nd time. Since they are almost identical, you're better prepared on what's going to happen. That helps for timing. I was at Seaworld a couple of weeks ago - but they didn't show---sigh. They had a Orca calf.

Not only how fast they move but if you get too close they'll spray your camera with alot of water. Great catch.

Cool action shot. The only critique I have is that it's cropped to close. Don't know if this is intentional or just because of the timing.

What an incredible display and captured at the right moment, you need not have worried. Incredible colour and contrast, lots of energy and animation.
