Description

I'm not real happy with the gun flashes, but it's all i had. :sigh: does anyone know where i can get good effects for sci fi guns?? Also experimenting with borders - i see so many renders around where the border really finishes it off. stonemason - urban sci fi @ DAZ

I don't see a problem either I think that the free Particles 3 has gun effects but there are also these guns someone gave me for my birthday that rock and have gun blassts pulse weaponry This is great I would not change a thing

THe flashes rock in my opinion but then I suck at making them. Ya there are some weapons out there that come with flashes/effects included, and also some effects packs kicking around the marketplace here if you want a quick fix, and I'm sure some of the prop flashes can be adapted to other weapons. To me the scene looks excellent ^^

Wow...excellent gun fight and the FX look awesome...Try Jepe's packets...he's got several and they're way cool...I have SF-FX and Steamz and another one from him...quite cool stuff...The trick is to try to place them exactly...Using the XYZ-scale and rotation factors is a "MUST" in order to get them right...This way you avoid seeing the FX as flat surfaces put up on their sides (like in this image)... Anyway i find this render a pretty awesome one !!! Excellent action snapshot !!! Cool textures and congrats on the ping job !!! Superbly done !!!

I think this is an exellent action render - its so difficult to place everything right, but you've done a really great job here!! I agree with the others, nothing wrong with your effects, but if you really want some different effects have a look at the Daz3d website - Fantasy and Sci-Fi Effects by blondi9999 - I find these very versatile for all sorts of effects. Also agree with GVDV about Jepe's products - he's very good - I use his stuff all the time :)
