I have to say I was quite overwhelmed by the response and Staff Pick, making this my most commented photo to date!! Today's pic was shot at the other end of the day, just after sunset, 400 yards from my holiday cottage in Portinscale, Derwentwater nr. Keswick. Fantastic shot. I've seen a few of these lake district shots in your gallery. All excellent. I live near there and have a couple of new lenses good for landscapes but I've not had much opportunity to take any shots yet.

What a serene and lovely image,Steve.The stillness is absolutely wonderful.Beautifully composed and captured,my friend.As to the moon,it doesn't bother me at all,but I think Andreas recommended removing it because it doesn't really add to the compo,being so tiny.On the other hand,it gives a time of day to the shot that I like.So hmmm,what did I actually say that could be helpful?...Not much afterall,I guess.So ignore me...LOL...Hope you're having a wonderful week and I'm sorry this took me a while to 'get to'.All the best-M :^)
