the broken lamp is a nice touch. The sense of drama is great. Only down side is that the creature looks a little dull. Maybe some self illumination?

I really like the overall simplicity of the image combined with the many details, like the broken lamp and the marks on the doorframe where the lock's been broken off. Excellent work!
