Description
This is a sexless plastic doll...sadly lacking emotional depth. She is a vacuous bimbo with an insignificant personality. Major lack of creativity and a stiff boring pose! She is too dark... too bright... too skinny... too blury!
Well....this is a little bundle of comments i have received on my pics. VERY confusing!
Why? Beacause i miss some explanation from these individuals so i can correct my mistakes!
I always try to be better.. so constructive critizism is always a good thing.
But... im not really sure the above is constructive at all?

Great lighting tones. A pity she's sexless or I could buy a few of these. 8-) It certainly it's too dark and she's too shiny. She certainly isn't too skinny (or should it be plasticy?...). LOL! You have some weird commenters. Nice job!

I did browse you gallery a bit and found the plastic doll thing... I wouldn't bother if I were you. Although I'm quite new here I have already seen that there are persons around who seem to delight in both cryptic and of course negative comments and only comment to be negative. Don't feed the troll... And I like this boring, plastic image too! Very creative with awesome colours and the bar code is the icing on the cake.

I always find your work full of life and refreshingly original.. I wouldnt let one (or a few) bad apples get you down. Mostly I find that these same poeple so quick to critique are the same people with either little or no galleries of extremely boring galleries. The reflections and light on this piece are perfect for portraying your comments on the work.

If I like chocolate and hate vanilla, should I tell others "Well, don't take vanilla, that's disgusting ! Take chocolate instead and you'll be better !" And if they take vanilla should I say that they're insane ?? Art is such a personnal taste, with so many variations in styles and that's why I love art ! Don't bother about what's been said, good or bad it is just a personnal opinion. Trust your personnal feelings and do art for pleasure, just like we do, because art is your way to express your very own world of colors and emotions and I just love the way you do :) I don't know if I've been quite clear but I hope so... I love your style Elisabeth ! Keep up the good work !

They surely don't sound construtive. Very harsh and hurtful sounding to me.

Dont take negative comments too serious. I dont even do that with the positive ones. When somebody dislikes my image, I want to know the reasons. When somebody likes it, I want to know what is liked. Your work is really great and you have your own style. This image isnt bad, even if you tried to do it along the negative comments. If comments like "to bright" or "to dark" are understandable is depending on the image, the viewers monitor calibration and so on. The other comments are concerning a matter of taste and not a subject of criticism at all! I want to be as honest as possible, thats why I dont comment on many images. I want people to be honest to me too. Its sad that we dont critizise when we comment on each others images, because we dont want to hurt or be negatively critizised back. It seems that constructive critizism isnt possible. A little remark and people become emotional or personal. If nobody tells us our mistakes we cant develop. And now go and troll my gallery! ;)

Great job with the barcode. Amazing!

My only constructive critism is of the un-constructive criticism, not this image. It can be frustrating when people don't give you a real clue as to why they dislike your pic. But just as a piece of art is a subjective expression, so too are the reactions to it. We are also severely limited by impersonal nature of the web (ie, we're not discussing these works face to face, which would facilitate an actual conversation). But I do like the barcode a lot! Very clever.
