Description
Since some years there is a sign which says:
"Our operation is currently not working because of renovation work"
I didn't see a change since they put the sign there, which must be 4 or more years back.
If you're wondering what this is..
Well, good question!
This "building" is located in Viennas "Prater" which is a kind of amusement park.
I think it was something like a big slide for kids.
Anyway, I can't imagine that this was comfty..
EDIT:
I know now that the Toboccan is the oldest wood-slide in the world. They now found people who will pay the renovation so it might open again.
I am not that good in photography but that doesn't mean you can steal my stuff. Please ask before using it for anything. No matter for what (magazine, website, blog,...) ASK FIRST!

A lovely shot.

It must have been state of the art when it was new. You have captured the derelict desolate state well. I love the portrait type crop and POV. Very good!

I recogniced it instantly. Yes I rode that many, many years back. :-) Yes it is indeed a kind of slide like the ones that You can find for swimming pools. Instead of water You had to use some kind of cloth to sit on it while sliding down. And there was no elevator, only stairs.... Well, it was great fun. Nice shot, and nice memories :-)
