Thank you for comments and visits to Where lions used to roam:
I promised I would put together some of the cub photos. It was difficult to capture them as the lioness was very aggressive as can be seen in the photo top left where she moved between us and the one cub, she immediately lead him away. Later on the lioness was lured to the enclosed feeding area where there is no competition for the family when feeding. It didn't make for a good photo but I did promise...

Awww They are truly precious! I find it very sad though to see that they should grow up and live their lives in captivity. That is not how God intended it to be. Nevertheless, the captures and presentation are truly of superb quality! Absolutely love this series, Oom Piet! :0))

Wonderful shots of mom out with the kids. She certainly seems quite protective of the cubs. I think anyone or anything that gets in her way, is in for a fight of their lives. What a powerful looking beast. Fantastic shots and nicely presented!!
