Description

Some modest changes compared to the earlier renders. Some seats added, but still not finished. Also side mirrors. And defogger vents in the dashboard. Wheels now have brakes, but they're difficult to see (if at all) in this render. Nothing hugely significant just yet. I'll still need windshield wipers and maybe some modest touches on the exterior. No, I'm not doing the underpinnings. Sorry. For what its worth the car is intended to be kept right side up, so all that wouldn't be seen anyways. Hood doesn't open because modern engine bays aren't the most exciting thing to look at with plastic covers and whatnot still covering the engine even with the hood up. So that's not done either. I suppose you could assume a 1.8L dual scroll (staged bypass turbine?) turbo dealy with extra injection or something. Just to give it enough oomph to be like a Cooper, but American ('cuz it's my concept) and on a budget. *shrug* The interior has lots more to go. seats need finishing. Then of course there's the dash details, instrument panel, center console. Basically all those bits you typically don't think about, but are necessary to make a car interior appear finished. But what's the real problem in pulling off this feat of modeling? It's me getting in the zone. :P Wings3D with the tools in the latest version is more than capable of doing what is needed. Then to top it off, the exterior and seats will be UV mapped to allow for custom paint work. Rendering done in Bryce 5. Gotta tone down that glass refraction a bit. Yikes!

When the figure inside appears in both the windshield and the side windows separated at the roof pillar the refraction is too intense. Box modelling give an illusion of what you seek. Just how heavy is your real time?
