Description
"...Another murder of the foulest kind was committed in the neighborhood of Whitechapel in the early hours of yesterday morning, but by whom and with what motive is at present a complete mystery...." - London Herald, 1 Sept 1888.
Just mucking about, to see what I was capable of doing. This was my first try at something a bit 'historical' and 'moody', but I may do more.
Software: Poser 4.03, Bryce 4, Photoshop 5.01, all done over eight days (I have a pent 166, which sort of stretched it from 5 due to render times).
Used: PosaNation's Dr. Morphine, with Phil C's period costume-- thaaaaanks, Phil!!!-- and top hat and sideburns (not that you can see them well) from the Poserworld 2 CD. The victim is (somewhat) in the 1890 dress, also from that same CD. The street lamp's main frame design is from IsuraS's freebie Coach Lamp, and the ship in the background is a Flying Dutchman 3ds prop from 3d Cafe. (And yeah, I know it's just a little out of sorts. Most countries had stopped using wooden ships by the late 1870's. But finding a historical non-warship is a bit of a stretch) The sky turned out a little brighter than I meant, so I'll probably consider this a WIP and upload a redone one. Any comments appreciated!

I think this has great atmosphere, probably a little too clean for 1888, rubbish and pools of filth in the street, wall with light has no soot and would look great all dirty ( any theatre posters or news posters ?) and myabe some railing along the river or a rowboat??? Keep going, its a good idea....

I think he's knocked her out, and is about to encase her in a new polymer, a miraculous solution that is rigid as steel, yet impossible to feel. The Evil Stalker of Whitechapel, you see, will then add her to his nefarious "Collection." Perhaps he's going to arrange a live sex show starring the absinthed-out strumpet (I'm sure it's just her first day on the job, tho...) and the Elephant Man, who was also seen wheezing about in Whitechapel at the time you set this scene. Heh. Where's THAT pic, dude?
