G'day. This is a photo of some smoke that i took yesterday. Half of the image has been mirror reversed so that it looks like a bunch of flowers. So one half of the image is the original smoke photo (no major tricks here)!! I have only widened the black background for reversal and deleted the incense stick. How to do this = You need a nice black back drop and a table or chair to place an insence stick on (it produces the best smoke trails). I used an incense stick stuck on a right angle into some clay to hold it in place. You will need a wind less room and some very bright lights on each side of the smoke trail (out of view)(i used two 500w to 1000w cheap workmans halogen lights). You should use a shutter speed of around 1/60th second or faster. You wil need to pre/set the focus on a vertical line above the incense stick and take your shots using rapid/continuous shoot mode. Some of the smoke trails are just incredible (more to follow over the next few days. Id love to see Zacko and you other guys give this a try as i know you have all the equipment to do it better.
