Description

Apophysis - Photoshop This is the first of a series of "portraits" that I will post next, though I won't post again for some days. They are probably the best I've done lately. Now..... Tomorrow, at 7:00 AM -4:00 GMT, a surgery will be practiced on my beloved wife Eloisa, to extirpate the cancer in her uterus, a radical hysteroctomy, which means they will take away everything, uterus, endometrium, ovaries, etc. It will last 4 hrs and will cost all I gathered from donations from my ex mate students, which is BTW all I have left, but this is the thing that matters less. What is important is her survival. For she deserves a plentiful, healthy and happy long long life. And my children need her mother, even though they're grown ups now. And life means nothing to me without her. So please, say a prayer for my wife..... Love Javier

I certainly do pray for your wife's surgery to be successful. Have courage - my middle sister had this same problem and it has been over 15 years and she is still fine. Outstanding artwork. I love the "painted" look of the texturing - a look I've tried for, also. But not as nice as this one. I'll have to play with PS's filters more. Wonderful to see you posting here again, too, bato - I enjoy your work.

Eloisa is in my prayers, dear Javier, and so are you. I hope and pray for the best outcome possible. I had a radical hysterectomy when I was 41..and a lung surgery to remove a cancerous lung tumor in the same year. Well, I'm 59 now, and so far the cancer hasn't returned. Both surgeries were necessary and turned out to be blessings, as you can see. I pray the same for your beloved wife. The most wonderful sight when I came out of surgery was seeing the face of my dear husband, John. I know you will be there for her all the way. Your image is poignant and excellent.

While certainly not something that anyone should be going through, the value of trials is that they help you to see what is important. We're praying that all goes well and that her recovery is quick and successful.

I love the painted look to this image. It is certainly one which should be printed. It is sad and very sombre and maybe a reflection of your own feelings. A very worrying time and I wish your wife well and hope by now the surgery is over and you can all look forward to a better and long life together. We pray for you all.

Wonderful painterly look and very emotive as well. I'm certain this is a representation of how you're feeling right now. All good wishes for your wife and your family.
