Description

AloooooooooHa! My two weeks of vacation are slowly coming to an end but what a joy it has been. My stepson and his bride got married here in Hawaii, without a hitch and are safely back in the mainland. Been really hectic around here during the first week but it all worked out quite well. I pretty much shot the whole wedding, but I won't bore you with all the shots I took. I got this idea from Kort awhile back and just expanded on it a little with two rings. My stepson is 6'7 so the size of the ring is really that size...the bride is about 5'...quite a difference in size, but love knows no boundaries. I shot this hand held, using my Mom's bible and a simple desk lamp for lighting. The hardest part about shooting this was getting the little ring to stay in place long enough to shoot it. But they loved this shot so I thought I would post it. Thanks for indulging me here, and I hope to get back to commenting more frequently now that things have finally calmed down for me....A great weekend to all! Aloha!

A shot for them to cherish forever Dave. You did an awsome job on this. I can't take credit for it though, I got the idea from Richard, who got the idea from... Looking forward to seeing some more wedding photos. I just know you did an amazing job if this is any indication. I'm glad you enjoyed your 2 week vacation. :) ((lol at the "slave" text in focus -- I guess we know your thoughts about marriage -- wink, wink))

This is very cool!! I can just see you trying to get the rings to stay put, LOL! The difference in sizes, well is kinda neat. The lighting is very warm and goes with the whole presentation very nicely, I can see why they loved it! thanks for sharing this cool pic! 8-)

whoever digs a pit, may fall into it. whoever breaks thru a wall, may be bitten by a snake! this is a great picture. really, a classic wedding photograph. but what page is that bible turned to? the quote i typed above is the first words that popped into my vision when i enlarged the photo. surely these are not the words read at the wedding? lol. sort of a strange passage for a wedding ceremony, huh? [im joking actually]. nice nice photograph, hawaii man
