Description

Elayne, high-priestess of Illune, stood poised and ready. Every time they came into a town it was the same thing. Fear, anger, mob mentality. Elayne was getting so tired of this. Her hands glowed with spell energy, every nerve alert as she faced the crowd. "He's my brother. You have a problem with that?"

LOL! They are characters from the game world I ran for almost 12 years. Elayne was born to full human parents while Gordon was born after the ogre attack that wiped out the village where Elayne and their mother lived. Elayne was left for dead but was rescued by the Sister of Illune and grew up to become their high priestess. Gordon was born several years after the attack while the mother was a captive on the ogre band. He was smaller than the full ogres in the band and was always looked down upon as being little more than a runt and a half-breed. He was rescued by a wandering band of knights and was raised in a castle as a warrior of the Lord Benedict. He found his sister many years later and has appointed himself her guardian although the roles tend to be reversed whenever they enter towns and villages.
