Description

A big thank you to Joseph Presley who was very generous with his help and got me started. Jo - thanks a lot!

A big thank you to my friends who pushed the image with their advice to the state you can see here. I was unsure about details and included their opinions into pre-versions of this post.

This image is for a good friend who is far away now.

I noticed Jock's formula and this is a fantastic way to use it. The texture creates a collage of coloured paper. The sun shapes are a nice touch and the colours are vivid and make me smile. Very nicely done and a delight to view.

Superb!! I love the colours and the texturing, but what makes this one really special, is the little touches and extras you have put in - the thready suns, the thready spirals and the wonderful blue/green moon in the centre.

The edge shadows are what kicks this in gear for me...really gives a "collage" feel to this. Excellent color play also. super, super job.

Excellent work, Andreas. Every time I look at it I see a new detail. Warm colouring and wonderful texture-work. Will we see more of these (please)?

Andreas! What a great gift for a friend! I'm very drawn to the bold colors, and the broken "torn paper" effect - your use of textures and balance of the sun and other elements make this a real winner!

I love so many things about this image! I love the dark tracings/cracks on the mustard colored band, the blue accent colors, the small 'suns', the green sphere... Just absolutely gorgeous :)
