Description
This is a Devil Fire Fish photographed at 28m on a reef called "7 mile" at Sodwanna bay on the east coast of South Africa.
It is an venomous fish that administeres a protien based poison (as most poisonous sea creatures) through spikes on its dorsal fins when touched / grabed. Very painful, rearly leathal.

leathal and very pretty...only had eye contact with the non lethal ones so far... but nevertheless i wouldn't touch any creature under the surface...

Not lethal at all? Are you sure? I heard that its venom is the same venom as that of a Pofadder? Anyways, nice capture hey! You should post a few on your gallery of Sodwana itself don't you think? I for one - a huge fan of the Northern Coast - have never been there. Though I have been at Cape Vidal numerous times! Anyways, lemme stop my ramble - great shot Pieter! Keep it up ;0)
