Photography has always been important to me. Since I was a child I would take photographs. At first with a Agfa Box camera (which has been my Avatar for a long time). Later, I borrowed my father's camera and when I was ninetheen years old, my uncle gave me my first SLR camera. Two years later I bought myself a top of the art SLR camera and I took thousands of photoslides and photographs with it till it was stolen from me. In the beginning of 2002 I got my first high performance digital camera (Minolta Dimage 7, upgraded to a 7i) and from that moment I got even more enhousiastic about photography. Now it was possible to take pictures and look at them right away.. In 2005 the Minolta was replaced by a Canon Digital Rebel (Canon EOS 350D). At the and of the year I've even bought a Pentax Optio WP to be able to take pictures under water, in the rain etc.. I 2009 I bought the Canon EOS 450D as well as a Samsung WB5000. All camera's are frequenty used by me. I am a member of RR since October 2004 and I still enjoy being here. I enjoy the photographs of other people very much by looking at those pictures I get ideas of improving my own pictures. So.. thank you !!

Poor creature, he looks quite famelic. Not always there is beauty in nature. A superb pic Oskar.

It looks odd indeed. But it might be some weird crossbread, too - so it doesn't have to be necessarily ill. (I hope). A good image it is any way!

I think a winter coat on this scruffy equine, nice snap!

Very odd and I thought it might be one of the miniature varieties as well! :-)

There is nothing funny about this photo. I know you do not know horses, but this one is malnourished and too thin. Report the owners to your local Humane Society. I have horses all my life.

I noticed that some people are really mad about this photograph. I feel the need to remind you of the fact that I took this picture with a wide angle lens and I stood nothing more than 1,5 meter away from the horse, which deforms the shapes of the horse dramatically.. !! And secondly... this is a Konik horse.. a horse that can live in the wild, should live in the wild and does live in the wild in this case. I think anyone can figuere out what this means for the condition of the horse..but believe me.. the horse was not lean at all, although it looks like it.. It looks like the effects of a wide angle lens are not to be recognized here.. I am sorry for that.

I think you are right, iaacf. From that view the horses legs are very dominating and the body will seam little and skinny. Anyway it is a very nice capture. The perspective somtimes makes tricks on us. :)
