Description
Another capture at the beautiful Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden, located on the north campus of Cal State University Long Beach in California. Photo taken December 11, 2005.
I don't know if that's moss or an exotic type of grass growing on the island.
I hope you don't get bored with this particular subject matter, because I have tons of this stuff still to show, and that doesn't even include the koi.
Thanks for dropping by, and I can't think of anything more to add today.

This must have been the greatest place to visit. Look at those trees! I'm all for seeing more of these wonderful photos.

The pruning and care that goes into a garden like this makes me look like a slacker! Gorgeous photo!

It all looks like it's thriving so well, and I wouldn't be surprised if that was moss. Great shot!!

Actually, yesitis3, admission and parking are free, so it isn't that they would be bringing in extra bucks from my posting plugs. I think they have a kiosk that peddles little goodies, and a coin operated vending machine that dispenses food for the koi, but that's just pocket change. Other than that, I don't know how they subsidize their operation. Also, I believe the docents and tour directors are all student volunteers.
