Description

With an attention to detail bordering on excess, all edges have been meticulously rounded. Stained glass windows were methodically created using the 'tile' effect of PaintShopPro on several layers before merging. Three of these fine ladies were photographed in Japan. One is from a Barbie catalogue. The entire scene is rather large measuring 600 Bryce units square by 200 high. I hope you enjoy looking at this image. Dion... [o]

Very nice scene. Have you considered doing a HDRI IBL render of this scene?

Thanks for all the coments. I had to look up the definition of HDRI and IBL. Oh I see, Bryce 6. I only got Bryce 6 yesterday. It's very slow or something is wrong with my setup. This scene reached 5% conversion from BR5 to BR6 after 1 hour. Perhaps I should have restarted the project with BR6 rather than convert. Nevertheless, BR6 seems to be bloatware. I tried a few things to test and found it sluggish and wanting. Each new version of any program takes advantage of faster computers and is never as finely written. This scene contains 6690 objects. BR5 took 3 hours 40 minutes to render at 'super' and '48 bit dithering'. Premium should take ages. And this is on a 3ghz / 1 gig ram computer I built myself. Somehow I believe the quiality would only improve marginaly with improved rendering procedures. A noticable difference would require more experience with lighting, textures, and perhaps some changes in some objects. Thanks for the comments and suggestions. I'll be sure to look at BR6 for the next new major project. I've got one pending at the moment and will stick with BR5 till I'm done. Dion... [o]

Beautiful room... beautiful details... and those windows are just perfect! But I don't like very much that floor material (black/white marble?)... it looks somehow too... hmmm... monotonous? But overall very nice image with beautiful use of lights! Well done man.
