Description

No major snow fall here yet, the temps are plenty cold though as you can tell by this picture. Photo taken at a local lake. The lake is covered in a thin sheet of ice. The patterns are a result of water freezing in rapidly dropping tempatures. Thanks for viewing!

I hope the vibration mode is switched off ;-) Beautiful image. Wish I could vote. Would be a 5+...I'm off to your gallerie.

LOL to the vibration mode comment. The thumbnail does not hint on how good the picture is, I almost skipped it. Good capture!

Must have been one heck of a cold phone call! I don't understand why the ice froze in such straight patterns. Very unique shot. Like it a lot.

Very interesting ice patterns, some curious physics going on, I guess. Great shot!

Very interesting patterns and lines of the frozen surface and the phone cleverly framed by the square.

I've seen some ice, but never with the peculiar stained glass geometry you've captured here. (Thanks for including the cell phone for scale and contrast!) This is a one-in-a-million shot. Incredible!
