Description

More than a year after my first upload, I'm finally getting around to adding more. Just got a new camera: Canon Powershot A540. Not a professional camera, but I'm not a professional... Trying out the macro mode here, and I think it turned out pretty well for my second-ever macro shot. I saw this leaf lying on the sidewalk in front of my house and I just had to shoot it. No postwork at all, except for the border and the text. Comments welcome.

Very fine shot. Much better than the thumbnail. I red makes it stand out wonderfully. Nothing wrong with a little postwork either. You'll find that almost all professional photographers do some sort of postwork, whether it be a bit of sharpening, white balance, noise reduction etc etc. I'd say this might be improved with a little sharpening? Beautiful shot none-the-less!
