Most photos really tell two stories. You might see a picture of someone atop a mountain and that provides one

I tried wearing a Nikon once, it didn't fit around the chest and was a bit tight around the hips. I finally got it to fit after removing the film. Looks like a real cool place. My biggest concern is how far back I've left my clothes and can I find them again on the return trip. Doesn't that ever disturb you? (losing your clothes, not me running about sans clothes...lol) Super photo Mere. And yes, I've often thought about how some photos were taken. Hugs from Dave :^)

I'm familiar with this area although I've not been there. But Texans learn a lot about their state (or as I like to call it, our country LOL even though I moved away some time ago, I'll always be a Texan...) Very nice tale with lots of good information.

This is another reason why I'd like to visit Texas again Meredith. We didn't get as far as Austin, on our last trip, but figure we might just find our way to Austin when we eventually fly out again. Beautiful shot Meredith and thank you for the information. Well done my friend! Steve :o)

Great photo and story... but, where's the picture of you wearing just a Nikon? That would be a better picture... Nikon makes such a beatiful suit. 8-) Pedernales is pronounced Pedernales. You can see that's a spanish name.

"Pedernales"..."Purrduhnallis"...who's to say? One has to make allowance for regionalisms. "Pedernales" does indeed look like a Spanish word (more likely a Spanish name as Babelfish won't translate it), but that doesn't mean a Texan born and bred is going to say "pā dǽr nal lās". Around these parts we have a town named Ephrata. If you say "e fruh duh", you're fine...if you say "e frā ta", you get funny looks and even some people who say "You're not from around here, are you?" Oh, the photograph...lovely stuff, Meredith. It's scenery like that that makes me want to pay another call on the Lone Star state.

A spectacular area! The river's sheer walls give mute testament to the force the river exterts. And speaking of 'spectacular' and 'exerting forces'.... You're a cruel woman, Meredith. "Just wearing a Nikon" indeed! You've never heard of a timer? ;)

Couldn't you have taken it where the water was calm and we'd get a nice reflection? :D lol. Gorgeous photo. Never actually given much thought to them lugging their equipment around. Maybe I will now, but knowing me...I still won't. lol. Looks like a really fun place to play though.

This is very beautiful, sweety. I always wonder on some of those pics, how they got them back home. By the way, you don't have to thank me every time I comment on your work, honey. It takes me sooo long to get to them, when I have so many comments on others to do. Love your work. Huggs...Silkylady...
