Oil on canvas
I had been listening to recordings of humpback whales singing and had a sense of profound depth. It was very difficult to capture the sound and paint what I felt about it. I'm not sure I succeeded.
But the parable continues from my previous post 'Restless Waves'(http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/image.php?edit=1339876):
And there are people with such depth, integrity and maturity of character, that their very presence brings calm and stability in the midst of shifting times and circumstances.
It seems that there is
A groaning,
A desperate moaning,
Arising from this World,
Like whalesong from blue deeps,
Calling for the emergence of
The true mothers and fathers
Of our nations.

I think you have conveyed the depth very well by the darkness and the sense of the presence of whales. Wonderful painting! But, there is more to this in your words. You have a prophetic sense of the anguish in humanity. It makes me think of Psalm 130:1-8 "Out of the depths I cry to you, O LORD; ff" which has both the cry and the solution.
