Description

Having been in the Navy and living up the coast from a Navy town, I still get choked up everytime I see coverage of a ship leaving, as well as returning. Politics means nothing when you think of the seperated military families. *** Started as a darker late afternoon, then postwork made it brighter. Liked the muted colors. The light reflecting on the water is from several spotlights, not the sun. Painted the hair.

To me, the boat seems disassociated from the water; floating over it, rather than in it. Maybe the hull's waterline (or is it a shadow?) is too hard edged? An unfortunate distraction from an otherwise excellent scene. The light on the water, and on the woman's face; the composition and pose, I wouldn't change at all.
